Goofy waste-themed racing game
Funtasia is a premium racing game for PC from developer Fantastico Studio. It is a side-scrolling racer featuring an unusual waste theme. In it, players race across multiple unique tracks ridden with deadly traps and pitfalls as they try to fend off airborne garbage that is polluting the world.
Basically taking the racing element of a game like Hill Climb Racing 2 and combining it with the unique waste theme of something like Trash Truck Simulator, Funtasia is a bizarre yet interesting game to experience. Newcomers can try this demo version to experience it first-hand.
Garbage disposal
The game takes place in the titular world of Funtasia, and you are a budding racer looking to take on the Furry Road. This legendary place is home to over 10 tracks filled with an assortment of furry animals in danger from garbage falling from the sky. This mysterious trash is brought about by monsters from space, and you will take part in helping defeat them.
Funtasia boasts more than 40 cars you can drive, and each of them has unique characteristics that you can take advantage of and be wary of. Race as fast as you can while taking on various terrains and collect batteries along the way to fuel your constantly depleting energy. Survive the boss fight at the end of the tracks to help clean up the Furry Road of its messy predicament.
You can go at it solo or team up with a friend in Cooperative Mode to make things easier and more interactive. There's also the Challenge Mode to take on specific challenges outside of the main campaign. As interesting as its theme might be, the actual gameplay itself is rather lackluster and can get dull and repetitive after a while.
Clean up Furry Road
If you like side-scrolling racing games and are looking for something new to play, Funtasia is a decent racer you can check out. It's easy to get into, offers plenty of vehicles to drive, and the garbage theme introduces an interesting twist to the gameplay. While it does get long in the tooth after some time, it's great for short play sessions.
